Repeat Prescription Faster

A “repeat prescription” service is available to enrolled patients whose medical conditions are stable and unlikely to cause complications or side effects. This service is at the discretion of your Doctor and is usually discussed with your doctor at a previous appointment.
For your wellbeing a consultation with your doctor is required at least every six months to review your medication. The only exception is for contraception for patients over 21 years, where it may be possible to provide a repeat prescription for 6 months.

Your Doctor may wish to see you rather than issuing a prescription for conditions requiring close monitoring, or if your medication was changed at the last visit. We will contact you by phone if an appointment with your Doctor is needed or if we require any further information to issue the prescription.

Charges

The prescription charge from Ilam Medical Centre is to cover the time it takes to check and generate your prescription, and includes nurse, doctor and administration components. Please note, some pharmacies may have their own charge for receiving a faxed prescription.

Payment

Payment for this service is required within 10 days. A $5-00 administration fee may be applied to unpaid accounts.
Payment can be made online. Our bank account no: 030162 0144250 000 . Please enter your name and chart number as a reference. Chart number is preferred but If you do not know your chart number please give date of birth as reference.
