2021 Flu Season

There will be three vaccines available this year –

• FLUAD QUAD for patients 65+
• Afluria Quad Junior for children 6-35 months,
• Afluria Quad for all other groups.

The MOH has asked providers to focus on the 65+ group first.

Schedule

We have been advised that the Flu vaccines for the over 65 year population are expected to be delivered to General practices in early April 2021. Vaccination of the over 65 population will begin from the middle of April. We will be running special Flu clinics during the week.

NOTE: Please do not ring to make an appointment until after the 1st of April as we will not take bookings until the vaccines are in the practice.

Vaccination of other high risk groups and the rest of the population will begin later in April.
