Our team have recognised a need to help women manage this challenging time and want to support you well. It involves our trained doctors helping you understand more, and empower you with a plan and strategies to manage the journey.
All our GPs are up to date with current information and are available for extended menopause focused consultations. Menopause is a complex topic. A longer consultation allows for an in depth conversation around symptoms & management options
There are small fees outlined below that enable us to spend the time with you, and ensure that your care is set up appropriately for you.
To help you identify your symptoms and how they are affecting your lifestyle, you will need to complete a Symptom Score card.This is an important part of your appointment as it will help our doctors to understand you and how menopause may be affecting you. Please bring with you to your appointment.
The initial consultation will include a longer appointment with your GP During the appointment, they will go through the following information with you:
This information will help you and your GP work towards finding solutions that are good for you. This may include Menopause hormonal therapy, non-hormonal treatments and lifestyle advice.
This consultation will cost $150.00 and this will be added to your account to be paid before or on the day of consultation.
As part of providing support we will generally suggest a follow up appointment with your GP after 2-3 weeks, of your initial consultation. The appointment will be a good time to discuss how you are finding your current treatment plan and to make any adjustments and improvements as required. These appointments can be phone consultations if requested.
This consultation will cost $65.00 or $19.50 for CSC holders, and this will be added to your account to be paid before or on the day of consultation.
We recognise that while menopause lasts 12 months, your journey of peri menopause may well span several years either side of that. Your GP and the team here will be able to support you throughout this time.
