Wound Care

Following minor surgery and all wounds / injuries, look for:

• Swelling
• Increased redness around the wound
• Pus or bleeding from wound
• Wound feeling warm
• Any unpleasant smell from the wound
• Increased pain
• A high temperature (fever)

These are signs of infection.

You will need to be assessed in the practice by a doctor or nurse. Please call reception to make an appointment.

If these symptoms occur over the weekend, we recommend going to after hours rather than waiting until Monday.
